A series of intentionally ordinary photographs of Bampton (Oxfordshire) that formed part of an exhibition hosted by Bampton Community Archive in 2016. The whole project was an antidote to the chocolate box/jigsaw puzzle “Downton Abbey Bampton” (Downton Abbey village scenes are filmed in Bampton, where I live). I always hoped that tourists would buy it. 

The format, layout, and typography are lifted directly from Uncommon Places by Stephen Shore – a book I love and that has been hugely influential to me.
